Details

This practical lab is intended for practitioners who use cytology in their daily diagnostic routine. After a brief introductory lecture, the participants will rotate through four stations, each dealing with a selection of viral, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections. Each station will be equipped with sufficient amounts of microscopes and pre-evaluated cytology slides demonstrating the typical features of the diseases. A fifth station with a demonstration microscope is intended to discuss less commonly encountered cytology findings in a one by one manner with the instructors. A computer assisted quiz and a set of pair games should encourage the participants to test their knowledge and exchange ideas and information with others in a workshop manner.
